About Us

Over the last 20 years we have restored almost 5 square miles of forests, wetlands, prairies, and streams and are very proud to be able to partner with you to restore Remembrance Forest.  For more information about our parent ecosystem restoration company, please visit the Swallowtail website.

We are honored to provide a meaningful way for individuals to express sympathy for the passing of a loved one or commemorate special moments while supporting a sustainable future.

Through Remembrance Forest, you and your loved one will be part of an ecologically rich landscape that will thrive for generations to come.

Our Mission

At Remembrance Forest, we work in harmony with nature to create lasting legacies. We are passionate about habitat restoration and have many years of experience.

We are proud to offer memorial tree plantings and celebration tree plantings as a special way to honor your loved ones or celebrate their life’s milestones by planting trees in their name. All planted trees will be native to the region and next to an existing restoration site, so their tree will be part of a much larger protected natural area.

Each tree serves as an enduring tribute to your loved one and your purchase contributes to the restoration of natural habitats in the heartland of America, providing a home for wildlife and improving our water and air.  Pollinator-friendly native flowers like milkweeds, sunflowers, and violets will be planted as well, so your tree purchase will help important species like monarchs, bees, and other butterflies and insects who will be critical to our young forest.  Visit our Pollinator Habitat page for more details.

We appreciate you being a critical part of this forest and hope that you and your gift recipient feel the same peace, connection to nature, and hope for the future that this project gives us.

Join us in growing a greener future, one tree at a time.
